Creating a New Customer

How to Create a New Customer in 24x7 Retail


The Customer Creation function in 24x7 Retail allows users to register new customers, including loyalty members, directly from the billing interface.This process ensures that all customer details are correctly captured and linked to future transactions for loyalty tracking, personalized promotions, and customer relationship management.


Opening the Customer Creation Window


To register a new customer in 24x7 Retail:

  1. Click the Customer button on the sales screen.

  2. In the pop-up window, click Customer Search.

  3. Select Create New Customer to open the customer registration form.


The system will display the customer creation window where you can enter all required information.


Entering Customer Information


In the Customer Creation form:

  1. Fill in all the required fields.

    • Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

  2. Enter the customer’s name, address, email, and gender if applicable.

  3. Enter the mobile number carefully, as it is a required field.

    • The number will be validated using a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to the customer’s phone.

  4. Once the OTP is successfully verified, the customer record will be validated for saving.


This ensures accuracy in contact details and prevents duplicate customer registrations.


Finalizing the Registration


Once all customer details are entered and verified:

  1. Click the Create Customer button to complete the registration process.

  2. The new customer will be saved in the Customer Master and automatically linked to the current transaction.

  3. The customer code and name will appear on the invoice screen, confirming successful registration.


Tips


  • Always double-check customer information before saving to avoid errors or duplicates.

  • Ensure that the mobile number entered is active and accessible to receive OTP validation.

  • Mandatory fields must be filled before the customer record can be created.

  • Customer details can later be updated by authorized users through the Customer Master module if changes are required.
